coaching at Isla Coche...

travelling from one beautiful caribbean Island to the next, beautiful... even if it´s only a 15 minutes boatride... The next days I´ll spend on blue water at white sandy beaches for some windsurf coaching.. it´s always nice to have a small break in the middle of the season in El Yaque, even if it is pretty windy now.... but so it will at Coche as well... I´ll provide you with some more pictures once i´m back at Isla Margarita....

Sailing punta caneira…

If the wind gets stronger in el Yaque, and the beach full, because of carnaval this time, we move our boards to the Spot of Punta Caneira. Also yesterday we enjoyed the sideonshore wind and wave conditions, with my Allwave 72 and the ICE 4,7...… it´s just sick Jumping there.. unluckily the waves were still a little short for some decent waverides….

back to turquoise.....

Yes, back to turquoise water and wind.. the last two days have been promising, with nice watercolours and wind for 5,0 and this morning it looks even better.... i´m off..... will write more when i´m back from the water... could take a while :-)

Loop week....

Last week we started our Loop Week in El Yaque. Like almost every year the wind should provide us a perfect setup for the first forward Rotations. Unluckily this year the wind didn´t play game and so we extended our Loop weeks to the 14 El Yaque Loop days. There are still two more days to go my first time Loopers are doing really well, even learning some more Planning Moves besides the maybe most wished Jump Move in windsurfing history. In three days I´ll tell you the final result and hopefully show you some really happy faces….

Lago del....

The last two days we could welcome some friends like Rafa Cervero or Anthony Ruenes at Lago del Yaque.... some more Rainshowers and super Flat water, without the slightest gust of wind..... it´s a pretty abnormal season so far... at least today the wind and sun are back.... and once again the windsystem is building up.... hopefully for longer now....

Waking up in a …..

Today i was waking up in a red world. Venezuela just voted in favor of his President and his socialism… Something almost all of us have been afraid of, knowing where the political system leads to… At least the water colour remained blue and the wind was for everybody anyway….

El Yaque News....

The Caribbean Island of Margarita with one of the Top Freestyle windsurf Spots El Yaque, Tradewinds almost every day, blue skies, tropical watertemperatures and Cocktails.... That´s the normal El Yaque, but what about this year. The Rainy Season seems unstoppable, though there have been already some weeks with winds and almost no rain.... but there were not too many people as witness.... The small Village in the south of the Island of Margarita sometimes looks like a small ghost village at night.... it´s really few people this season.... unluckily, since the whole village has been cleaned up, got security service and some nice new places to be like the new Ipanema Chill Out and Bar, with Live Music and special Events.... Also some new Posadas have opened their doors, from Caribbean Style to modern Buildings... just check it out......
