almost 2008 and still 2007... ???

only two more days to go before we´ll find ourselves in the future ?? not really, at least not for me, I enjoyed 2007 and will do the same in 2008, with nice winds, hopefully some better waves (though I can´t complain about 2007 neither) and some more happy people.... wish you all a great and happy 2008 !!!! all the best from windy El Yaque

Big Crowds, some rain and wind....

Now it´s already ten days that i´m back at the island of margarita... ten really busy days, but nice.... we just got in charge of the planet windsurf center and will do our best to improve and give a good service !!!! today my student Koen had to leave but not before he did his first Frontloop, after only four hours lessons !!! Good Job !!!! Now it´s getting busy in El Yaque, seems like people are ready for some more sport after maybe a bit too much of good christmas turkey :-)

Merry Christmas

Now it´s exactly one week that i´m back in el yaque... had some windy days and some windless days so far and today a nice christmas eve at the sandy beach of el yaque..... wish you all a merry christmas !!!!

Back at Planet windsurf El Yaque...

I´m back in El Yaque, nice to see all my friends again and finally being on the water again... today i had already a nice session with my 5,0 and Gollito Estredo, Ricardo campello, Diony Guadagnino, Yoli..... it´s good to be back and also the Planet windsurf Center got ready, freshly painted, newest equipment... what else could you wish......

just arriving at margarita....

after a long journey with some difficulties like maasive traffic at the highway to Frankfurt Airport... same problems with windsurf Gear like always.... (doesn´t get any easier never).... and the 11,5 hours flight, I finally touched ground at the Island of margarita again...... beautiful weather, many people, and... no wind at my first day...... but already for tomorrow it looks more than promising.... !!!!!

I´m just enjoying my last Impressions of Germany before I finally go back to Margarita in two days, with hopefully great wind and some waves !!!!

Really nice guy, great Jet Ski Pilot and Instructor and maybe even greater musician Fredo from St Martiin hurt himself when he hit a reef at the Maldives at our latest Trip and dislocated his shoulder and broke parts of it... I hope he will be back soon and can be back on his Skis and on the Stage as soon as possible... wish you all the best Fredo

back from Maldives...

After a long Journey from the Maldives I´ve just arrived in Germany for four more days before leaving to the Island of Margarita.... After a lot of rain at the maldivian Islands I´m already looking forward to be back on the water with beautiful weather in El Yaque next week !!!!!

Maldives....

Today was my day number three at Maldives and first day in the waves.. but unluckily they were a bit to choppy and not so powerful like they use to be, so even with tow inn surfing was pretty hard to find a good wave... the fotos will follow soon....

on my way to maldives i´m sitting once again at dubai airport, waiting for my connection flight.. it´s just always nice flying emirates.... great service.... they consider so many things normal in economy class which other companies don´t even offer in business class.... sick... just few more hours to go before i step foot onto maldivian islands again.. can´t wait... just hoping that waves will be as good as last time....more from there !!

my former sport....

After a long while I just went to watch a game of my former Sport : Ice Hockey.... where I´ve been a Referee in the mayor League in Germany for some years.... So I went to the new ISS Dome in Düsseldorf and actually was a bit disappointed... the legendary atmosphere of the old stadium Brehmstrasse was gone completely..... kind of normal in the new Arenas... changes happen but I was happy to finally watch a game again... still love the sport !!!!

Two and a half years ago, sitting at the Island of Coche with Windsurf Conditions like in a Lab, we founded the Windsurflabor Clinics. WE, that was Worldcupper Remko de Weerd, high experienced Windsurf Instructor Thido Nähring and me... After a long summer travelling Europe now I feel ready to leave the Continent heading west to the Caribbean... though there are still some days left, I started thinking of another great wind winter .... Welcome in a world without colours.. that´s what i thought this morning, waking up still in germany, with grey and cold weather,, and everybody looked a bit sad.... no worries... the sun will be back :-) . though also the grey weather has quite a lot of emotions to offer.... just open your eyes...

I don´t know, to most germans it seems like it is still summer... with 7 to 12 degrees at daytime... so it must be only me... but I´m still lying in bed with a bad cold... sure it´s gonna be much better soon.... Hope you are all feeling good !!!!

Victor Fernandez wins the Supersession at Tyree

Spanish Sailor and actual number two in the PWA Ranking Victor Fernandez just won the Expression Session at Tyree in Scotland..... pray for wind and Swell now.....

Heavy Rain at Home

After travelling quite a bit in summer I´m in Germany at the moment, visiting family... Lot´s of heavy rain made the water in the Rivers come up and flood a huge area....

Andre Paskowski made it again

Congratulations Andre Paskowski... for defending his Title at the European Freestyle Pro Tour EFPT and so winning the European Title for second time in a row... while the PWA Waveriders are waiting for the Swell to kick in and so to have a nice last PWA Wave Event in 2007 in Tyree Scotland.....

Record for Gollito Estredo

With 89 out of 90 possible Points Gollito Estredo won the last PWA Freestyle Finale in 2007 against Tonky Frans from Bonaire... highest Score so far !!!!! Really good Job !!

PWA Freestyle Worldchampion

Congratulations to Brawzinho, the new 2007 Freestyle worldchampion in PWA Windsurfing. In a hard battle he beat actual Worldchampion Gollito Estredo, who won the last Competition at Sylt today and so two out of three worldcup Competitions of 2007 !!!!
